World Cup 2018

Postby Reg » Wed Oct 11, 2017 10:10 am

USA just got eliminated. I was stunned by that. I thought of them as a dark horse. Argentina squeaked in. Colombia is in but I doubt they have a chance. Brasil looks strong but Germany looks unbeatable. I thought the last cup would be their last but they might well prove me wrong.

Disappointment in your favorite theme is a real downer. It is obvious you are looking for a sob story after that youthful elation feeling of being carefree and without responsibilities. So seductive and empty and painful after the withdrawal. Now you are looking to ground yourself in old fart feelings of being limited to watching soccer and never even playing it.

You are looking for a sob story. Sports teams in their disappointments is a temporary and quick fix. also you can justify your alcohol consumption and get very loud while appearing to be in control and making sense.

Mark, I don't really watch soccer. I follow it on the news and look at the results, but short of a few games every four years during the WC elimination round, I don't actually watch it.

Italy failed to qualify. The constants are Germany, Spain, Brazil and to an extent Argentina and France. Other than that there is no consistency. Other than those 5 it wouldn't surprise me if anybody missed it. Chile has surpassed Argentina recently. We'll see for how long.

Do they have an indoor soccer Cup?
I think indoor is more intense.

I'm sure they must but I'm not familiar with it. I agree indoor is more intense. I'm glad Italy is out. I hope Sudamerica wins. Brasil would be perfect, but I'd settle for Argentina, Chile or (of course) Colombia.

I'm not sure Mark, but yes indoor is more intense. I wonder if they have trampoline soccer.

I have seen something like that in rehab places. Rehab for injuries particularly shoulder. It is more of a goalie or free throw movement.
