I haven't followed the Sydney-Hobart this year because it's been so boring lately, but I just read Wild Oats has retired already with mainsail damage. Good. High time someone else won.

Perpetual Loyal is out, too. Looks like a totally new name will win this year.

Two yank yachts are leading. Rambler followed 6 miles back by Comanche. An Aussie yacht, Ragamuffin 100, is 20 miles back.

Yank it hard and dislocate/relocate/ and locate your unwanted first mate.

Comanche is within 2, now. This is the best Sydney-Hobart in years so far.

EDIT: Comanche just took the lead. They almost retired but decided to make repairs at sea and continue. Good call, that.

EDIT2: And now Comanche is running away with it. They're already 6 miles ahead of Rambler and over 30 miles ahead of Ragamuffin. If they can make it to the finish, they've won it. I just made the race the POM.

Comanche just won. I googled its owner. It's a 71 year old yank named Jim Clark who purchased a 30 year old Aussie model trophy wife six years ago. Good for him. If that's his path to happiness and she's happy with the arrangement, I've got no issue with it. This said, yacht racing is being dominated lately by yank tech zillionaires like this guy and Larry Ellison who, um, aren't exactly the most likeable people you might find at a marina. It's unfortunate, and it's bad for the sport.

Only a nihilistic arsehole thinks that purchasing a partner is ok. And only a double standard arsehole thinks purchasing is ok but gold diggers aren´t (and you certainly didn´t praise gold diggers in the past). I don´t know if he bought her and I don´t know if she just went for the money. If they did what you claim, then they aren´t anything but a John and a prostitute and there´s nothing to respect about that. Someone who purchases his/her partner, just like someone who just chases money in a relationship, isn´t exactly the most likeable person either you might find. The question is if they really did what you claim.

Bunni or Buni would be racist. So would Bunny Cula. But Bunnicula is beyond your comfort level of reading.
