Indonesia just declared homosexuality a disorder. I honestly don't even see how this is controversial. I have all kinds of disorders. Diabetes, hypertension, nasal polyps. They don't make me a bad person. Nobody is seeking to imprison me, kill me or beat me up. Nobody stops me from working or marrying. Nobody does any of that to homosexuals in the western world, either.

Why are doctors willing to call my diabetes a disorder? I can still work, marry and live a great life. I have to make minor adjustments to deal with it, but my productivity is not impaired and my life is not materially affected. Still, doctors call my diabetes a disorder because my pancreas can't produce insulin, which is its purpose. I was born this way, but it's still a disorder. Somehow, the same doctors now tell us that homosexuality isn't a disorder even though it clearly impairs the reproductive system to the point where it is effectively useless.

Indonesians have declined to drink the koolaid on this topic. Good for them.
